Industry expert to provide insight on evolution of FMC and personalized communications

Chicago, IP Possibilities Conference and Expo, April 08, 2008— Shannon Bell, vice president of marketing for NewStep Networks, will explore the user demand for enhanced fixed-mobile convergence solutions and presence capabilities in a panel discussion at the IP Possibilities Conference held April 7-11, 2008 at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers.

During the three-day event, Bell will participate in an industry panel titled “Fixed-Mobile Convergence: Can You Find Me Now?,” on Wednesday, April 9th at 1:30 p.m. She will discuss the increasing consumer demand for presence-related communications features and how companies can respond to these developing needs. In addition, Bell will discuss:

  • Personalized communications and why it is driving the evolution of convergence technologies
  • The importance of presence, location and behavior characteristics to users and service providers delivering personalized communications services
  • Convergence capabilities necessary for service providers to support the needs of their customers
